AGN Observations with Suzaku
Abstract
Results from recent Suzaku observations of nearby AGNs are summarized with emphases on broad and variable Fe K lines and obscured AGN populations. We present two lines of evidence for the presence of broad Fe lines in Seyfert 1s, i.e., a clean broad band spectrum without ambiguity of modeling of complex absorber and variability of Fe lines on short time scales. We present also properties of obscured AGN populations selected by optical and hard X-rays. The geometrical structure are discussed and comparisons between the two samples are made. We find objects with weak scattered soft X-rays in the X-ray selected sample. Such objects are likely to be buried in geometrically thick obscuring matter.
